A love story of an unrequited love of Florentino Ariza to Fermina Daza.

Florentino is a hopeless romantic man whose love for Fermina becomes an obsession - for over half a century! When they were young, they exchanged letter as frequent as they could - everyday. This was done without the knowledge of Fermina's father, Lorenzo Daza.

Fermina was forced to marry the prominent doctor in town, Dr. Juvenal Urbino.

Florentino was contented just by having a mere glance from afar to Fermina while she was on the arms of her husband. After the rejection of his love, he was engaged from an affair to another. I couldnt count how many women he had slept with!

A very passionate person recommended this book. I read this book for over four months! The first three quarters of the book was very slow for me. The story just got exciting when it is nearly finished - when they are already in their old age....

Love in the time of Cholera. Love is like a disease that plagues the body....

Maybe Im really not that romantic and not that passionate but it is worth reading. Well, I gave it a shot...

The story sounds good. Well, if you read it in four months, I guess it will take me a year then. hehehe.. Good thing it's already a movie! Wanna see it with me?

Yeah I saw the trailer of the movie in RTL. Thanks for the offer Nina but I think I have a date. I really owe him bigtime. I have to endure watching a boring movie like this to please him. I'd rather watch the Kiterunner.... :S

Btw, when will it be shown? When's the premiere?
